Giving Tuesday 2014
Why Give To The WCII Memorial Today?
Giving Tuesday was established by a team of influencers who wanted to see a portion of the billions of dollars spent during the post-Thanksgiving (and now pre-Thanksgiving) shopping rush go towards social causes rather than retail giants. This special day has gained momentum and is now a national event we hope you will support. The Wayne Cederholm II Memorial needs your support to complete its commitments on current projects and build a reserve balance that will allow it to execute new programs in the future. Like most non-profits, fundraising is an essential part of keeping our organization going. Much of our current funds are dedicated to reoccurring projects. This model helps recipients plan better and commit their own resources when they know programs will be long lasting. In turn, this helps the Memorial solidify its relationships and continue making meaningful improvements aimed at multiplying the affect we have with our partners and recipients. Please consider making a Giving Tuesday donation to the Wayne Cederholm II Memorial today! |
Year in Review - 2014
Over the past year the Wayne Cederholm II Memorial has completed funding its first scholarship and school sponsorship. It held the 2nd annual Wayne Cederholm II Memorial golf tournament hosting over 200 players and guests. With the proceeds, new funds were earmarked to continue the scholarship, continue sponsorship of our school and establish new partnerships to fund 2 additional schools. We were selected by head chef Buzz Willey of Pallet Bistro to be a recipient non-profit at Of Course - Volume 1 pop-up restaurant. Before the end of the year, the Memorial will complete the next stage in its development as a non-profit with the announcement of the Memorial Board. The Memorial Board will help the WCII Memorial continue improving and forwarding its mission while making impactful decisions regarding the distribution and management of resources. In addition to the above, the Memorial has been working on new programs that will kick-off next year. With continued support from our sponsors and friends, the Memorial will have the ability to make an even greater impact on the community in 2015. |
All proceeds raised go to support the Wayne Cederholm II Memorial Fund, managed by the the Cederholm family with assistance from the Community Foundation of Utah, a 501c(3) nonprofit organization.
